At times, one’s hair might appear absolutely terrible. Making a hasty decision to cut your own hair might result in weeks of repair work. These fashion mistakes are common knowledge amongst humans. Nevertheless, there is a lion at China’s Guangzhou Zoo who can relate to you in that situation. Here at Viraltrendzs, we’d like to introduce you to Hang Hang, a male white lion with a really bizarre hairdo.
Many Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo and Little Red Book, are seeing a rise in interest due to the abundance of photos of Hang Hang. The lion’s mane has been styled into trendy, asymmetrical bangs over his forehead. People blame zoo employees for giving Hang Hang an unwarranted haircut due to his hairstyle.
However, the zoo has denied responsibility for the incident on many occasions. They said in an official statement that the very high humidity in Guangzhou may be responsible for his mane hanging down like that. The argument that the style developed on its own as a consequence of the lion’s routine self-grooming is the funniest (and most relatable). Fortunately, it seems that Hang Hang’s new haircut hasn’t bothered him too much.

Hang Hang belongs to a unique mutation of lions recognized for their distinctive coats. The white lion’s coat, which may be anywhere from light blond to pure white, is the result of a recessive condition called leucism. It’s caused by a gene mutation, although it’s not as bad as albinism.
From 1992 through 2004, this magnificent species was officially recognized as extinct in the wild. However, in 2004 the Global White Lion Protection Trust was able to successfully restore these lions to their original habitat. Currently, there are three thriving prides out in the wild. Even though Hang Hang lives in a zoo, his distinctive blond hair has garnered as much attention as the fact that he is a rare primate.
The zoo staff claims they had nothing to do with Hang Hang’s recent haircut.

They also stated the lion’s grooming practice may be responsible for the droopy hair on his face.

Luckily, Hang Hang’s new haircut doesn’t appear to be bothering him too much.
