A three-judge board in Nebraska gave over capital punishment for a man convicted of murdering and dissecting a 24-year-old woman in 2017 including sex ring.

With the condemning, Aubrey Trail becomes the twelfth individual waiting for a death sentence in Nebraska, which has done a single execution in the previous 24 years.
The board was required to give over a sentence later for Trail’s co-defendant, Bailey Boswell.
Prosecutors said Trail and Boswell attracted Sydney Loofe to their basement apartment in Wilber, Nebraska, on November 15, 2017, and slaughtered her and damaged her body. Trail said he alone was liable for Loofe’s homicide, telling the court that Boswell just assisted him with arranging the body.
Trail said he killed Loofe after he and Boswell attempted to recruit her to their sex ring and she “freaked out.” He addressed the court Wednesday during the sentencing.
“I don’t understand anything I can say here will change at all how I dealt with Sydney three a half years ago,” he said in a prepared statement directed toward Loofe’s family.
“I will not say I’m sorry, as that would be an insult to you after what I put you through, and I will not request pardoning as I don’t accept that there is such a thing”
The Lincoln Journal Star revealed that Trail’s case will naturally be requested like all cases including capital punishment.
