Some people despise having their photos taken. While many people just scowl or cross their arms to indicate their displeasure, some go far further. Furthermore, the manner in which they may demonstrate it may be pretty amusing. When we talk about Sparky, a three-legged Italian greyhound that appears to melt when the limelight falls on him, all of these boxes check off.
When his current owner, Kennedy Simmons, attempts to pose with him for a lovely photo, he reacts like jell-o. But don’t be fooled into believing he’s unattractive to the camera. In fact, it’s the other way around: his photographs are viewed by thousands of people on Instagram and other social media platforms. This lovely greyhound has been described as “funny,” “cute,” and “adorable,” to name a few words.

Meet Sparky, the melting Italian greyhound, and Kennedy Simmons, the veterinary assistant who took him in.

“Sparky is a lot of fun to hang out with. He’s the biggest knucklehead, but he’s also a prankster. If you don’t pay attention, he jumps up on the table and snatches food, or he runs to the hamper and takes my socks. He reminds me of a sour patch child because he will steal my food from the table and then cuddle up on my lap as if he didn’t eat it. He is a brave individual!”
Sparky despises being in the spotlight and will go to any length to escape it.

He melts under the spotlight.

“As crazy as he is, if I’m having a horrible day, he’ll be right by my side, trying to console me. He’s really loving.”

The difference between “smiling” and “aggression” may be seen in the relaxed posture of the dog.

Sparky, on the other hand, enjoys eating. His Instagram bio reads, “Ready for breakfast and supper at all times of the day.”

“He adores all dogs (particularly his canine siblings), cats, and people… but most importantly, FOOD. But, as crazy as he is, if I’m having a terrible day, he’ll be right there by me, trying to console me. He’s a really loving.”
Let’s take a step back for a moment: Sparky fractured his leg, which was painful for the entire prior family, and they couldn’t let him enjoy his life as a regular dog.

“Sparky was given to me by a client at work (I work as a veterinary assistant).Sparky had broken his leg with his previous family and had surgery, but they were too afraid to let him do anything once he had healed from the surgery because they had seen him break his leg and it had traumatized them a little bit, so they decided that he needed to have a puppyhood with someone who wouldn’t be afraid to let him do things.”
Simmons, a veterinarian, recognized what it required and agreed to adopt him.

“Sparky’s prior family is just amazing! They truly wanted what was best for Sparky, and they saw that he wasn’t getting the puppyhood he needed due of their worries of letting him do anything.”
Sparky’s leg was amputated because it never fully healed after it was broken.

It caused him a great deal of discomfort and was continuously bothering him, so they were forced to make a difficult decision.

“Sparky had to have a second leg operation after I adopted him, but it never healed properly and became extremely uncomfortable for him, so his leg had to be amputated.”

“Sparky’s prior family is just amazing! They truly wanted what was best for Sparky, and they saw that he wasn’t getting the puppyhood he needed due of their worries of letting him do anything.”
Sparky likes to pose now and again, and he looks really lovely.

He’s still temperamental in his own way, despite being an Italian greyhound.

“In terms of his fame, I admire how his photographs bring people together. He’s such a character, and he brings joy to others!”

You’ve probably heard of couch potatoes, but what about sofa sausage?

Sparky is currently living happily with his two other siblings as well as Kennedy.
