In 1939, a girl called Lina Medina delivered a healthy baby boy, making her the world’s youngest mother at the time. In this case, the girl’s age was all that mattered at all. Lina was only five years, seven months, and twenty-one days old when she gave became the world’s youngest mother . To be sure, this is nothing short of a medical miracle, and it is impossible to believe that anything like this could happen.
Lina was born in 1934, and she was exactly like any other child. Her parents were shocked when they discovered that Lina, who was five years old at the time, had a huge tummy.

As a precaution, her parents took her to a hospital, fearing she had a tumor, only to discover that she was seven months pregnant and in good health. In addition to surprising physicians, Lina’s extraordinary condition attracted international attention, something she and her family were not looking forward to.
A C-section was performed on Lina on May 14, 1939, and she gave birth to a lovely baby boy.

Her son was delivered at a healthy weight of 2.7 kg. In honor of the doctor who delivered him, he was given the name Gerardo. After being raised believing Lina was his sister, Gerardo only learned the truth about his mother when he was 10 years old.
Lina’s father was taken into custody. However, he was later freed due to a lack of evidence. He had a happy childhood until he was 40 years old when he died from bone marrow illness.
Nobody really knew who the father was when she became pregnant. This shocked her friends and family and also the broader public. Lina is said to have gone through adolescence at a younger age than normal ( Premature Puberty). It is a rare inherited condition that causes puberty to occur at an abnormally early age in children. The body of a youngster changes into the body of an adult before its time (girls under the age of eight, and boys under the age of 9).
Her mind and soul were still those of a child, despite the fact that her body had developed considerably earlier than it ought to have.

This disorder, or a variety of other factors, may be to blame for the early development of pubic hair, breasts, or genitals. Lina’s breasts and bone development had already begun before she became pregnant.
Every request to interview and film Lina was rejected down despite the fact that thousands of dollars had been offered. They chose not to speak publicly each time they traveled to the United States, despite the fact that they were compensated for their expenses.
In the wake of more than eight decades, this still seems to be an open subject. The story was not meant to be financially beneficial to the family. Furthermore, medical records from that time period do not give sufficient proof of her health during her pregnancy.
In the course of Lina’s pregnancy, just two photographs were said to have been taken. However, only one of them has been published in a non-medical publication.
Paul Koask, a child education specialist from Columbia University, was able to visit the Lina family after the birth of their kid, but it took them two years to get permission. In the opinion of Koask, the world’s youngest mother had above-average intelligence, whilst her infant exhibited entirely normal developmental patterns.
Jose Sandoval, an obstetrician, investigated the case and wrote a book about it. Lina, according to her, was more interested in playing with her dolls than her baby.
While still in college, she worked as the doctor’s secretary, which helped her pay for her education. Lina was successful in enrolling Gerardo in school around that time.
In the 1970s, Lina Medina became the wife of Raul Jurado.

In her thirties, she gave birth to her second son. It is best if Lina’s personal life is kept a mystery because she has always chosen to stay out of the public eye.
