Eldina Jaganjac who is 31 years by now, is a young woman from Copenhagen, Denmark who has decided to stop her facial hair removal.
She’s made a name for herself by chronicling her experience on social media. She has also aided others in feeling more confident and being true to themselves rather than trying to satisfy everyone.
We at Viraltrendzs believe Eldina’s story might be incredibly inspirational to all of us. Here’s what we discovered.
It wasn’t something that just happened.

Eldina did not make a hasty decision to quit shaving her face. It was a slow and steady process:
“I wouldn’t say it happened overnight, but I felt increasingly upset with having to shave my legs for no apparent reason. Why do I have to remove my hair when I see males going out without removing hair? I understood that I could be considerably more productive with my time. I’m not opposed to shaving or hair removal, but the idea that every woman should do it all the time irritates me.”
Others also can empathize with Eldina’s situation.

“A lot of women have written me and informed me that they, too, feel pressured to remove all of their body hair, even if they don’t want to,” Eldina says. However, they are under societal pressure to do so, or they have been harassed for having body hair.”

“Many women have written to me, expressing their feelings of being the sole woman with facial hair or noticeable body hair. Whereas, in reality, there are a lot of them, and having body hair as a woman isn’t unusual. I’ve received about 100 bad messages from guys and about 4-5 terrible messages from women.
In terms of standing out, I’ve received a lot of attention for, well, basically doing nothing. It’s weird when you think about it, because a man wouldn’t go viral for having big brows, so why would I?”
What matters is who you are, not what others think of you.

Being true to yourself is really essential, and there will always be people that love you for who you are: “I guess my advice would be that if people don’t like you, you can always make new friends. You’ll always be able to locate other people who will accept and value your ideas and sentiments. Do you truly want to be known as someone you aren’t?”
Beauty standards are constantly changing.

Following today’s beauty standards might not be for you, and that’s fine. “I believe that beauty standards are extremely random,” Eldina says. They are always changing. Something that is important right now could become outdated in ten years. So I’m not sure why individuals, particularly women, are expected to conform to these standards.”
Don’t be frightened to pursue your goals.

Finally, Eldina said something inspiring that will make anyone think about how they conduct their lives: “Reflecting on why you’re doing what you’re doing is always a good thing, in my opinion. Is it something you want or something you’re doing out of fear?”
